Dance

Many of the folks that read my blog have children so I thought that you would appreciate these videos:

Behold! The joy and freedom of my 3 year old spontaneously dancing to Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. (try to ignore my voice telling my son off, the random kids moving in and out of frame and the dark room, we have no natural light in the living room :)

And now for a different mood. This is my 5 year old dancing to my favorite Tchaikovsky music 'Nocturne in C Sharp Minor' with her homemade flower tiara, on a darkened 'stage' with a spotlight (handheld torch) thanks to her big brother.

I love how she nonchalantly fixes her tiara halfway through and doesnt miss a beat. The spotlight work was super!

  5. Oh Shona. I am so glad you shared these! I am inspired by the joy in your home. How I hope to one day match it when our boys come home. Truly, this made me just want to come live with you guys for a while. It's like you live in a dream world. The beauty beckons me to come in- to pull up a chair, have a cup of tea, and just watch the wonderful show! Truly, it brought a song to my heart to watch the girls, and I am SO in agreement with Michelle- how fabulous to be that carefree and just dance like noone else is watching!!
