Susan Tuttle over at Ilka's Attic posted a photo last week and a challenge to create something with it. I used it as my canvas per week photo.
I decided to give the little girl a happy face, that of my little Laura. I guess as she will be hanging in my house I wanted to have someone cheerful to look at!
Shona- sh is o adorable. I love the eyelets and and the handpainted flowers. so great!
ReplyDeleteooops- can I buy a vowel??

Some things I love about this piece...I love the stitching, and those sweet grommets! I love the turquoise 'anchor' bead at the top...but most of all, I love that angelic face ;) with a tiara on top! This is a priceless expression on her that you've captured...pure delight! Love it!

Thanks Kristin, Kelly, Amy and Brandie! I am glad you guys like it, it was fun to use an image that was new to me, so often I use the same images (of my grandmother when young) over and over. Feedback from the art 'community' is always helpful. It is good to see which piece of the collage different people like or notice. Happy creating!
