Making time for art

Check out this article I wrote for Scrapbooking.com. The principles I outline in the article can be used to get organized for any kind of crafting - sewing, photography, writing, scrapbooking, collage making.

There are other great articles and eye candy in the online magazine. It changes each month, so take the time today to go visit.

  1. That's a great article...and so true! People always say they don't have time to sew or do some other craft...but you have to have the supplies ready...and use those 'wasted' moments and work on things little by little! Good Job Shona!

  2. You are so right. I need to assess where I am wasting time so I can have more time to work on my art.

Gwen Diehn said something similar: If you have your supplies laid out, and a bottle of water for rinsing your brushes, you're much more likely to journal/scrap/capture those colors you're thinking about, than if you have to go searching through the couch cushions for a pen.

  4. Thanks folks!

Dotty, that is a great quote, love the bit about the pen in the couch! Would love the source! I googled her name and see she has a book on journaling... in there? is this a good book for my book shelf?
