We usually do a lot of walking when we are in Ireland. We are a little slower this year - my bad back, Max in a stroller or back carrier and Matthew's leg. He has an appointment at the children's hospital on Monday to have a cast put on.
Lots of crying going on here
My poor baby is experiencing what every baby does
We soldier on
We nurse again
and again
Oh, poor Max. I can see that hole in his gums. Must really hurt. What our babies must go through. Thank goodness for a mother's love to see them through.
ReplyDeleteI love that photo of Mark behind Matthew and the girls trailing along. I love how in spite of the obstacles, your family is carrying on and pushing through and getting as much out of life and your trip as you possibly can anyway. You are such troopers. Such a beacon and inspiration for the rest of us. Thank you for sharing your photos with us. I love getting a sense of what it must be like to be there. You are so fortunate to be able to travel to visit your family every year. What a treasure. What memories you all will carry with your forever. You are so blessed. Miss you all. Come back to us safely.
poor baby.
ReplyDeletepoor mama!
sometimes it's these times that force us to slow down a little and drink in the joy that sits there. you're good at this.
xoxoxoxo
Brave of Matthew to soldier on despite his leg! Enjoy Ireland... and my sympathies about nursing a teething baby... They need extra love and patience!
ReplyDeleteOH, Sweet Matthew, how hard it must be for him! Just want to reach out and pick him up! Oh little Max, what a great photo. My little one also has both bottom teeth coming out at the same time. More is coming. Love the photos!!
ReplyDeletePoor Max! I felt those little teefies (as we called them) coming in the morning you left. When one lets a child put your finger in his mouth, one is apt to feel a few teeth! I could tell they were just coming in.
ReplyDeleteI love your picture of everyone walking...
What you said about slowing down reminds me of when Tim and I finally realized we could no longer just jump in the car and go--we used to drive and hike every where when we first met. By the time we had five...life was happening and it wasn't easy to just go..not with toddlers and babies. We still hiked and camped...but not on the spur of the moment. :o) And you are right...you do have to slow down a bit. :o)
Have you tried an amber teething necklace? One of those and Hyland's Teething Tablet really saved my sanity where Wednesday and her teething pains were concerned.
