You have to see this ABC digital book, by illustrator (Artistic Mama and featured artist in my book) Shannon Mucha! She has done amazing illustrations of each letter of the alphabet based on the word's Latin or Greek root.
I love the coloring, the style, her drawings, the texture, the whole idea! I would love a copy of this for my kids as they learn both languages in our school.
I will keep you posted if this is something you will be able to buy one day.
Shona, Thanks for the heads up on this group. I had just started a blog about two weeks ago and then last week I came upon your book at B&N. I love it---just what I needed at this time! God is so good. Anyway, I had started the workshop on my own, but it would be much more fun to do it in concert with others. Thanks again, Kathryn

I've found through my blog that many mothers are on a similar path, of rediscovering their creative Selves.

Shona, Thanks for letting us know about Shannon's book. It is really special! Also, I just wanted to let you know how sad I am that I can't join the artistic mother class.
ReplyDeleteIf I do any more, I'd be buried. We are so busy with Jacob's debate season and that has to come first. I have a whole couch to re-cover for mom and she has been so patient.
I just have to trust the Lord and his timing.
