Fun photo exercise to do with kids

How to?
1) Bring camera & few kids to park
2) After time on the swings and slides and a few rounds of crazy golf ~ have your kids 'find' letters in the alphabet around the park.
3) Photograph their finds
4) Upload & crop

notes
Activity is best for kids ages 5-12, the younger they are the more mom input will be needed!

This took myself and 3 kids about 40 minutes to do, if time is pressed you can cheat and 'make' the letters - in sand, with shadows, leaves etc.

I hate to keep on mentioning it, 'marketing' does not sit well with me, but if I don't tell you how can you know?

  1. hi there,

just discovered your blog! what a coincidence I just did a similar post with photos of my walk in the park yesterday (the sun came out and I had to run and make the most of it!) It was my treat though whilst some-one looked after my youngest and I really enjoyed it!

Your blog looks great and I'm off to have a good look now.

Don't worry about 'marketing' - I guess if you have something good to share then it's great to let people know about it!

  2. What a great idea. I have seen signs made of photos in this manner . . . why didn't I ever think of making my own?

Not sure I can wait for the kids on this one . . .

  7. When I was taking classes in photography this was one of our assignments. It was so that we would see beyond the obvious and really think outside the box. We were all way past 12 years old. It was a great learning exercise.
