I am underwater right now. In a sea of remodeling. It will be all OK in the end, but living through it is tough when you have 5 kids and no kitchen, not to mention unfinished concrete floors and a crawling baby! The things we do to improve our lives always take work, thought, creativity and agony. Like college, like exercise. Hard at the time, but worth it in the long run.
The process should be complete next week and I will be able to reassemble my life and get back to blogging.
For now, please excuse the dust of my absence.
Hey ... are you doing concerte floors? We are about to do the same thing. Any and all suggestions welcome!
ReplyDeleteWow, sounds crazy but like you said it will all be worth it in the end. Good luck with the remodelling and I can't wait to see the photos of when it's complete. Hope you're able to find a hot meal somewhere.
ReplyDeleteVery impressive task with 5 children, it will be amazing in the end!! Hang in there!!
ReplyDeleteO lawz... been there, done that and am glad it's over. Although we're now remodeling the farm office and getting it ready for classes. There's always something, isn't there?
ReplyDeleteHi Shona..you poor thing! I know it must have been a shock to see all that. I won't see you Sunday as we are off to help my mother move and then will spend a couple of days pulling out my Dad's old carpet. Hoping it won't smell so bad.
ReplyDeleteHope you get your kitchen back soon!

It is going to be so worth it!
ReplyDeleteThat room is going to be FABULOUS, I am looking forward to your after photo's....I say picnic is the answer. We remodeled the kitchen first in our house. The kids loved eating off old trunks and having wacky bowl days......I shouldn't tell you it took 3 months to complete....worth every paper plate and plastic spoon in the end.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck! Kitchen remodels are bad at the worst of times, but can't imagine doing it with five kids! Deep breaths, it will be worth it in the end!
ReplyDeleteWhat a difficult task with all the little ones. But...it truly will be well worth it in the end. Be sure to share photos of the finished remodel!
