Seeing resting cattle in Ireland in this picture just reminds me that we're never too far from things that remind us of home: for me, those cattle would remind me of central Illinois and its many cattle farms and my father bottle-feeding calves and leaving in the middle of the night when a heifer went into labor to take care of her... and the easy, lazy way all of the cattle we had took he, my grandpa, and my uncle Jim for granted.
Thanks for this picture today! Obviously you didn't plan it, but this helped my burgeoning homesickness beginning before I've even moved... and I'm only moving to South Carolina! But some things will be the same... like cattle resting in a pasture.
